So a great part of doing Body Back program is that you also get a food journal along with several sample recipes to pick from that are balanced, clean eating, easy to prepare or cook. Perfect for a busy mom that doesn't have much spare time, if any.
So the contest is designed to keep us motivated, and open minded about the recipes. Some of them I thought sounded boring or not my taste, so I've been skipping them. Now with this contest, the goal is to try and cook as many recipes from the book as possible for the next week.
Well so far it's working! It definitely brought out the competitor in most of us as we post our food on our private facebook support page. And some of these ladies are posting recipes from the book left and right!! I can't keep up!
I gotta step up my game!
I prepped each meal and snack, except dinner one day, that way....
"I'm hungry, oh what's this? my snack is already made and waiting from me..."
BAM! Snack #3 POSTED! (Too bad that only lasted one day.)
That day was easy and I ate the best because I planned ahead! I'm finding that is the key to my success in a healthy day of eating. Planning! I plan my kid's meals, why not mine? I'm hoping to keep up some planning, because when I do, I see a difference in my eating habits.
But aside from the contest I have actually found many of the recipes that not only I like but my husband and kids too.
